A beginners look at the techniques used in the acquisition and manipulation of images in the digital medium for traditional as well as "digital" photographers. Whether you're using B and W or colour film, or the latest digital camera technology, these workshops will give you the basics to work with your images on the computer. Topics covered include: System calibration resolution and image size, density and colour correction, photo retouching, photo montage, digital filters and using type. Emphasis will be put on understanding the processes that are unique to digital imaging using PhotoShop Elements.

Producer of many large scale multi image AV shows that celebrate the wonder of our world in imagery including: “Blue as blue” - a black & white tribute to the music of jazz great Miles Davis, “City Landscapes” - a wide screen presentation on the city of Hamilton done live to the performance of Aaron Copeland's “Quiet City” by the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, “The Elegance of an Image” - a celebration of the impact of images which premiered at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, “The Voice of a City” for the Hamilton Region Conservation Authority which incorporated a 100 voice choir performing the soundtrack live during the show, presented to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, and “The Human Touch”, a combination of live theatre and multi-image AV projection about the human condition that ran for two weeks at Theatre Aquarius.
